DBRS Launches Corporate Risk Assessment Scorecard

DBRS has today launched a new scorecard for Corporate Ratings. The scorecard displays Business and Financial Risk Assessments for each publicly rated company in a given major corporate sector covered by DBRS. The goal of the new scorecards is to provide additional insight into how DBRS determines its ratings. The assessments are measured using the same scale as DBRS’s rating scale and are provided for each business and financial risk factor important to each sector, as outlined in the relevant DBRS rating methodology.

The first scorecards published by DBRS today relate to the consumer products, regulated utilities, oil and gas and Canadian universities sectors. More are expected to be rolled out over the coming months for each major corporate sector.
