DBRS Updates Methodology for Mapping Financial Institution Internal Ratings to DBRS Ratings for Global Structured Credit Transactions

Structured Credit
April 17, 2014

DBRS today has republished its methodology for mapping financial institution internal ratings to DBRS ratings. This methodology, titled “Mapping Financial Institution Internal Ratings to DBRS Ratings for Global Structured Credit Transactions,” supersedes the previous methodology, published in November 2012, of the same name.

This republished methodology contains no changes compared with the previous one, and is not expected to have an effect on any outstanding ratings. Rating mapping is typically used as a tool to determine default probabilities for unrated obligors when rating balance sheet collateralized loan obligations (“CLOs”).

DBRS criteria and methodologies are publicly available on its website www.dbrs.com under Methodologies.
