DBRS Finalizes Manulife Finance Ratings and Discontinues MIC Ratings

DBRS has finalized the AA (low) provisional rating on the Senior Unsecured Notes issued by Manulife Finance Holdings Limited (MFHL) following the announcement today by Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC) that the assumption of the Senior Unsecured Notes (the Notes) of The Manufacturers Investment Corporation (MIC) by MFHL has been completed. The rating reflects the continuing senior guarantee from MFC.

With the assumption of the Notes by MFHL, DBRS has discontinued the rating on the Senior Unsecured Notes issued by MIC.
